Besalú this medieval town, about 20 minutes by car from Vol de coloms, is where the circus museum is located. Circusland is in the center of the village in a monastery founded in 977.

The building houses collections of thousands of pieces that cover 250 years of circus history: engravings, costumes, posters, photographs, stamps, postcards, artists’ material, autographs, books, programs, porcelain, sculptures…

The most emblematic pieces include the largest miniature circus in the world, the archive of large format posters from the beginning of the 20th century, a collection of circus philately, old engravings, a library with more than four thousand copies, the costumes of famous artists, the press archive and photography of famous authors.
