Life in La Garrotxa is calm and in contact with the land. Olot, capital of the region, concentrates a large part of the population, as well as cultural activities, theater, cinema, concerts, museums… It is surrounded by charming towns, with history and traditions.

If you are interested in history, you have to visit two towns with a great cultural heritage: Santa Pau and Besalú, two towns with buildings over a thousand years old that take us back to the Middle Ages.

The rural world, which dominates the entire region, is especially visible in the Vall d’en Bas. Seven small towns where the fields and the animals are the principal landscape.

The charm, nature and the hand of man came together to give us one of the best views we can get from the balloon: Castellfollit de la Roca, a town perched on a basaltic cliff visible thanks to the erosion of the River Fluvià and Toronell.
