Vall de Bas Hotel****

The Vall de Bas Hotel is a four-star hotel located in Joanetes, in the Vall d'en Bas. Surrounded by nature, at the foot of the majestic Puigsacalm, with privileged views, it is a place that invites you to rest and be calm.
It has 36 rooms distributed between the renovated farmhouse and the annex building. All of them are equipped with flat screen television, air conditioning, private bathroom, desk and free wiffi service. Also, they offer free tea and water in the same room.
This rural hotel, with a magnific and natural environtment, has an outdoor pool, gardens and terrace.
The Vall de Bas Hotel offers a restaurantservice where, if you want, you can enjoy a gastronomic selection with local products.

Hot air ballon ride

The next day, early in the morning (between 6:30 and 8:00, according to the season) we wait for you at the Vol de Coloms facilities. You will live the experience of flying in a balloon over the volcanoes of La Garrotxa!
We invite you to have a coffee, the adults, a juice, the children, and eat some pastries. Meanwhile, you can watch the preparation of the balloons and the inflation of the majestic sail.
All our baskets have a door, so, they are accessible to all types of public.
The balloon flight with children lasts from 1 h to 1 h 30 minutes. The movement of the balloon is so smooth that it is imperceptible and the sensation is of floating in the air, in absolute calm and security.
While we contemplate the landscape with the volcanoes under our feet, we make a toast of cava the adults and the children juices, to celebrate the baptism of the flight. We also taste the coca de llardons, a local typical cake of the Garrotxa.
Children like to see animals and houses from the sky. This is usually their first experience with the bird's-eye perspective. They love to see cows and lambs, to be above the birds for a moment and to discover volcanoes.
Once back on land, our ground team pick us up in a 4×4 vehicle and take us to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast. You can taste bread with tomato, Santa Pau haricot beans and "botifarra", a catalan national dish.  desserts from Cooperativa la Fageda, wine, coffee and ratafia, a local herbal liquor.
To finish, we give you a flight diploma signed by the pilot.
